Staff

Jimmy is the 3rd generation and one of the current owners. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Piedmont Technical College (Piedmont Community College) and later worked there in student recruitment.  After 17 years of service at IBM, Jimmy attended Fayetteville Technical Community College and received his funeral directing and embalming license in 1997. He served on the Person County Board of Elections for 31 years and is a member of Berry's Grove Baptist Church.

Adam is the fourth generation and current manager, graduating from Fayetteville Technical Community College with honors in 1998 and is now a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the State of North Carolina and the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is also a certified crematory operator. Along with his wife Dorothy and two children, Carlie and Andersen, they are members of Clement Baptist Church.  He has been a member of the Roxboro Rotary Club for over 13 years having served as president and is currently treasurer.

Laurie is the 3rd generation and one of the current owners. She graduated from East Carolina University and receieved her funeral director license in 1988. She is a member of Long Memorial United Methodist Church where she is a member of the United Methodist Women. Laurie and Robert have two adult daughters, Mary Kelsey Wrenn and Anna Wrenn Long. She enjoys spending her free time at the beach and playing bridge.

Robert is married to Laurie and they have two adult children, Mary Kelsey Wrenn and Anna Wrenn Long. He graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, GA in 1988 and received his license for funeral directing and embalming in 1989. In addition to his funeral directing and embalming license, Robert is also a certified crematory operator. He has farmed various crops during his farming career. Robert is a member of Long Memorial United Methodist Church. 

Anna is the fourth generation and is the daughter of Laurie and Robert Wrenn. She graduated from Piedmont Community College and later from Fayetteville Technical Community College. Anna is a licensed funeral director and embalmer having received her license in 2017 and is a certified crematory operator. She is a married to Bryan Long and is a member of Long Memorial United Methodist Church.

Cecil is the son of C.J. White and father of R. Adam White. He began working here after retiring from Progress Energy with over 30 years of service. Cecil is an active volunteer with the Hurdle Mills Volunteer Fire Department. He and his wife, Sheila are members of Clement Baptist Church. He has another adult son, Stephen White.

Mike started with Brooks & White in May of 2012 after retiring from Duke University OIT with 30 years of service.  He and wife, Mickey, have two children, Robin Oakley and Ashley Fletcher and husand Jason.  They are blessed with two granddaughters, Lauren and Jacey Lea and one great-granddaughter, Adelynn.  Mike is a life long member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and a member of the Hurdle Mills Volunteer Fire Department.

Sam is a member of Calvary Baptist Church and also a member of the Sappony Indian Tribe.  He and his wife, Fay, have 2 grown children, Chris Martin and wife Tesha and Shannon Martin Garrett and husband Ron.  They have seven grandchildren, Ashton, Mallori, Wesley, Addison, Avery, Payne and Davis.
